Shop Til You Drop

The new Mid Atlantic Equitation Festival is sponsoring a Country Life Shopping Expo for those who live near the Washington, D.C. area November 17-18 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.  This is a new horse show, a new event and it sounds like a lot of fun.  There will be 50 hand-selected vendors there and it's always fun to get a early start on your holiday

The event will be held at the Prince Georges County Equestrian Center (Showplace Arena) which is in Maryland, just outside the Beltway, directly east from downtown Washington.

 You can combine your shopping trips and attend the Washington Junior League Holiday Shops event, a major fundraiser for the League.  This event used to be held at the Mayflower Hotel on Connecticut Avenue but now is located at The Sphinx Club at 1315 K Street.  This is a great show, lots of good vendors. 

There is a HUGE event in Richmond called The Bizarre Bazaar November 29 - Dec. 2 - but it is HUGE and literally takes all day to see.  I prefer the Junior League event.  But you can attend the one in Richmond and get your shopping done for several years.

 The Roanoke Valley Junior League also has a shopping event called The Stocked Market in mid-November.
