The Saga of Sadie and Mac

A dear friend passed away unexpectedly just before Thanksgiving and she left behind two loving cats, Sadie and Mac (short for MacKenzie).  She was single, not in great health and she adored her animals.  The owner requested in her will that we would be responsible for securing good homes for them.  The male and female are indoor cats.  Our animals go outside so we cannot take them and farm life would not suit (and we have too many already).  This is Sadie, the female:

This is Mac:

Mac is the brother to our cats Elliott and Mosby.  Both cats have been "fixed" and well cared for, all vet records can be transferred and arrangements can be made to have the animals transported to a new home at no cost.  These are East Coast kitties. If you know anyone who has been thinking about a new animal, needs an additional cat and wants to help out, PLEASE contact me. Imagine leaving your own animals behind and no one steps up to the plate to love them again!  Or if you know of any organizations who help in a situation like this please let me know.  We need all the help we can muster in this endeavor.  Happy Monday!  Let's hope for many more happy Mondays with possible new homes for Mac and Sadie.

  1. Hi, I'm not sure where Sadie and Mac are living now, but if you need help with the placement I work with a cat rescue in the Philadelphia suburbs and would be happy to help. Feel free to reach me at trish@travelforteens.com if you are interested. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend; you're so kind to help her kitties find a forever home again.
